Details:

The ‘Let’s Make Art’ event on Friday 12th May at the Bannockburn Cultural Centre was very well received by participants from both the local community and surrounds. 37 participated in the day. Lunch was provided and attendees worked with one of five tutors.

The tutors were; Lyn Dickson, demonstrating and teaching coiling, Rosalind Lawson, an experienced art teacher and paper maker teaching the art and history of papermaking, Marita Reynolds, teaching and demonstrating coloured pencil techniques to recreate a Blue Fairy Wren, Rosslyn Bosnar, water-colourist, teaching and demonstrating watercolour techniques and Freda Duke, teaching felting through the creation of a felt scarf.

The event ran from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Participants expressed an interest in having more ‘Let’s Make Art’ workshop events.

Participants were a combination of individuals who had never tried any creative endeavours before and people who had their own creative talents, but wanted to experience something new and different.

Ros Bosnar and Marita Reynolds have planned another Let’s Make Art morning for Friday 25th August in Watercolour and Pencil. Cost is $40.00

Bookings are essential depending on your choice of workshop that you’d like to experience. Please contact either Marita on 0425 735 561 or Ros on 0410 808 483 to book in. We look forward to seeing you!
