Maude Fire Brigade

All members are reminded that pre-season training has commenced.  All members must complete their pre-season minimum skills update to be able to attend fires. If you can’t get to training on the first Sunday of the month, please contact Craig or Bruce to discuss your options.

Brigade members had a fun morning assisting the Geelong Cycling Club at their competition on 29th August around the local circuit. Marshalls assisted during the race and other members cooked the barbecue for the group after their ride. Thank you to the club for their generous support of our brigade.

The pre-season Bushfire Planning Workshop will be held at the Maude Fire Station on Sunday, 25th October from 2.30 – 4.30pm. This free workshop gives you the chance to work on your family’s bushfire plan, and discuss any queries you may have. Please come along, especially if you are new to the area or not confident of your current plan should fire occur in our area. Members of our local brigade will be in attendance as well as trained CFA staff who will present the workshop.

This brochure is one of several being distributed around the Maude brigade area at the moment. You will also receive a list of brigade contacts, information about the Property Advice Visit Service, and also a useful leaflet regarding the clearances you will need to allow a fire truck to access your property. All the planning in the world won’t help if your overgrown driveway prevents vehicles from entering.
