Bannockburn & District Garden Club

The Bannockburn and District Gardening Club always seem to have extremes of weather for their activities, our visit to 50 Greenfields Drive Moriac was no exception.

It was a very hot day when members were finally able visited this beautiful garden. Shady trees and winding paths took us into lovely garden rooms.  An arid garden seamlessly moved into an Australian garden, a herbaceous garden and a 'Secret Garden".

From the back lawn we had beautiful views of the creek, neighbours trees added to the gardens size.

The vegetable garden nicely fenced to keep out the rabbits was a picture with vegetables that would have won a prize at any agricultural show.

The fernery was a cool and colourful oasis with hydrangeas, fuchsias and hostias among the ferns and beautiful hanging baskets.

Afternoon tea was enjoyed on the shady veranda, a lovely afternoon and well worth waiting for.

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday March 22nd at 1-30pm we will visit Summer Sensations Berry Farm 1440 Shelford Rd. Teesdale.  Departing Lions Park at 1-15pm.
