CWA Sponsors Athlete

President of the Native Hut Branch of CWA, Shirley Wild recently presented Caitlyn Sagar with a cheque to support her trip to British Columbia, Canada.

Caitlyn (from Teesdale) is part of a 60 strong Australian team  participating in two Track and Field  Competitions in British Columbia. She is the only athlete from Geelong and will compete in the Under 15 - 100, 200, long jump, triple jump and possibly the relay!

We wish her every success and know she will be a fine ambassador for Australia and Geelong.

The Native Hut Branch is proud to be able to financially support this young lady.

If you are interested in joining the CWA (who does some amazing community work as well as being the largest womens’ lobby group for local, state and federal governments) come to our next meeting!

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at the Teesdale Primary School – mudbrick building at 730pm.
