ANZAC Day 2016

The ANZAC Day Memorial services on Monday 25th April were conducted by the Inverleigh RSL Sub-Branch at Bannockburn, Teesdale, Shelford and Inverleigh.

The attendances of the local community and visitors to the area were above expectations at all venues especially at Bannockburn and Inverleigh at the March and Service as well as the Memorial Service at the sporting complex prior to the Football and Netball matches at which there was a record crowd in attendance

On behalf of the Inverleigh RSL Sub-Branch members I take this opportunity to thank every one for their support. For so many of the community to turn out and support such a small sub-branch as ours on this day of Memorial is a bit overwhelming and greatly appreciated by all of our members.

To all our volunteers who helped in selling ANZAC Badges, the Red Cross Ladies and our ladies Auxillary in providing morning tea, the members in setting up and dismantling the chairs and tables in the hall, the hall committee, Rob Timms for providing the speaker system at all outside venues and our local policeman Chris for traffic control and all the sub-branch members, your support and assistance has been greatly appreciated.

Once again thank you all for your tremendous support.

Mal Johns,
President Inverleigh RSL Sub-Branch
