Bannockburn Green

Bannockburn Green has recently entered it's 4th year of operation. The gardens and all works are looking well established, and there is now a strong residents support network within the Village.

For the last 12 months the village has been fully occupied

We recently celebrated Merv Myers, one of our Gentleman residents marriage to his dear friend Elaine.

Bruce and Val Sawyer, recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary at a surprise morning tea, for all, provided by their friends and co residents at Bannockburn Green Seniors Village.

Often referred to by other residents as the mayor of Bannockburn Green, for his eloquence and ability to provide a speech on any occasion Bruce was surprisingly quiet on this one.

The couple were presented flowers, a special cake and a DVD photo compilation all prepared by the other residents.

The Sawyers were married at Christchurch Anglican Church, in Essendon and have lived in various Melbourne suburbs and more recently Grovedale and for the last 2 years Bannockburn Green. Bruce and Val have been blessed with 2 sons, 2 daughters and a number of grandchildren.

We all congratulate Bruce and Val on a wonderful achievement and wish them well in enjoying many more anniversaries together.

We also farewelled Bob Cayzer, as he relocated to Townsville, to be closer to family.

As a result there is at present a unit available for an over 55 yrs independent couple or single person looking for a change of lifestyle within a rental retirement village.

Renting a retirement unit can free up funds to enable other lifestyle choices and most residents are eligible for the centrelink rent assistance allowance.
