Bannockburn Bowls Club

Social Bowls
June 2nd  - The weather was much kinder and enticed 19 players to come and enjoy a happy and fun day of bowling and practice.

The winners being Ray Kelly (S) with Peter Adamson and Don Gregory.  Don is really enjoying his bowls and is really beginning to be a force to be reckoned with.  It's great to see!!

The runner up team of Les McInerney (S) with Alan Symons and Marg Snare kept the other competitors at bay.

June 16th - 15 players braved the threat of rain and the team of John Engels (S) Ann Salter, Lindsay Cross and Bert VanIngen were rewarded with the winner's prize.  They did have to repel the opposing team of Peter Lalor (S) Brent Rodden and Peter Deutsher who produced  some spectacular bowling attempts which proved unsuccessful but quite aggressive play to claim  R/Up spot on the day.

June 23rd - Unbelievable commitment from our bowling fraternity who came to play on one of the most windy of days we have enjoyed.  21 players competed and all managed to finish their three games except when the heavens opened with only 2 ends to play.  Well done to all for their dedication to the game.

Winners on the day being Brent Rodden (S) Mert Pascoe and Les McInerney.

Team of 4 R/Up being Peter Deutsher (S) John McNamara, Peter Lovegrave and Don Gregory.

BOWL TRIPLES - 9th June - The Club is so grateful for the interest and support that this day provides.  Teams from other clubs make it a winner during the winter months and the Club thanks these clubs for their ongoing commitment.

The yummy soup provided by this months pair of Issy Merrett and Bev Hope an enticement - some say it's the soup not the bowls that lures them to Bannockburn.  Thanks also to Patricia Engels and Yvonne Hinds for their help on this day also.

The winners were a local team of Hans Kocheran (S) with Peter Deutsher (new bowls) and Brent Rodden.

Well done as the R/Up team of John Engels (S) Alan Symons and Barry Merrett were hot on their heels.

Raffle winners on the day were ? and Lindsay Cross.
