Presentation To Robin Pearce

The Victoria Park, Inverleigh Committee of Management Inc. was pleased to honour its former member, Robin Pearce, and his wife, Maureen at an informal luncheon at Victoria Park recently. A presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation and a commemorative book was made by President, Carol Perrett to Robin in recognition of his service to the Committee over more than fifteen years.

In making the presentation Carol thanked Robin for his service to Victoria Park and to the Inverleigh community over many years during which Robin had served both as Secretary and Treasurer and, at times, holding both positions.

In response Robin thanked Carol and said that at times the committee had struggled to attract members and how pleased he was to see the committee having so many active members. He felt sure that the management of Victoria Park was now in good hands.

After the presentation the committee held its regular monthly meeting at which both Robin and his wife were invited to attend as guests.

Following the success of the Car Boot Sale held in July the committee has decided that there will be a series of further Sales during forthcoming months. It is hoped that these sales will become a regular event in Inverleigh and attract a large following from the local community. Following the initial event the committee identified a number of areas where the organisation of the sale could be improved and these steps will be put in place for forthcoming sales.

The committee has set dates for three further sales during the course of the current financial year.

Sales will be held on 2 October2016, 20 November 2016 and 19 March 2017. The committee is hoping for support from the local community and enquiries regarding site bookings can be made through the secretary, John Turnbull,  by phoning 5281 5068.
