Shelford Primary School News

First Aid
Teaching staff and students from our school are all trained up and ready to go after we completed First Aid training courses in August.

All staff completed our training at St John’s headquarters in Melbourne.  The training is needed to ensure that we are in the best position to deal with any injuries that might occur at school.

The children did their First Aid at school with a trainer from Melbourne.  The emphasis for the children was on recognising when someone needs first aid, keeping themselves safe, and getting help either through fetching a trusted adult or calling 000.

Sporting Schools – Bowling
We had our second session of bowling this Tuesday.  This week we split the children into mixed age groups, which they all enjoyed.  The aim of the program is to encourage children to participate in sports  and live a healthy, active lifestyle.
