New App to help Australian businesses export

Federal Member for Corangamite, Sarah Henderson, has welcomed the launch of the Federal Government’s new app designed to help Aussie businesses become exporters.

The Export Essentials app is the first of its kind, specifically targeting the export community. It is now available on Apple and Android devices for free.

“The app contains a wealth of information, templates and key contacts to help small businesses develop and implement their export strategies. It also provides a comprehensive contact list of organisations to help businesses achieve their export goals,” Ms Henderson said.

“It will help Corangamite small and medium enterprises interested in or already exporting, which will create more jobs and drive economic growth.”

The app covers a number of topics ranging from an introduction to exporting, through to more advanced content such as managing currency risk, finance solutions and export licences and regulations.

“The app will be extremely useful, particularly as it will be regularly updated to respond to changes in the local and global environment,” Ms Henderson said.

Export Essentials, developed through a partnership between Efic (Export Finance and Insurance Corporation) and the Export Council of Australia (ECA), is available free of charge for both Apple and Android devices from their app stores. To find the app simply search for “Export Essentials” in the app store.
