Child Safe Standards Information Session - Geelong

Organisations that work with children are required by law to meet the Child Safe Standards by 1 January 2017. The Commission for Children and Young People, in partnership with local government, is holding information sessions about the Child Safe Standards and what organisations need to do to build and maintain a child safe organisation.

These sessions are targeted at businesses and organisations, including:
• Religious organisations
• Cultural, sporting or recreation services for children
• Counselling or other support services for children
• Charities and not-for-profit organisations providing services to children
• Entertainment and party services
• Photography services for children
• Gym or play facilities for children
• Professional babysitting services for children
• Coaching or tuition services for children
• Swimming, dance and music schools
• Youth organisations, such as Scout or Guides groups
• Post-secondary education providers
• Talent or beauty competitions in which children participate.

We extend this invitation to leaders from businesses and organisations in Geelong and surrounding areas.
