$50,000 For Bus Upgrade In Bannockburn

The State Government will build a new bus shelter and footpaths to better connect locals with shops, schools and each other.

Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney announced that new bus shelters and bays will be installed at Milton Street in Bannockburn.

The State Government will also extend footpaths and build a new school crossing to make it safer for students and locals to get around.

The project will promote walkability, accessibility and integration of Bannockburn’s established township with the new developments along the Bruce’s Creek corridor.

It follows extensive community consultation on the Regional Network Development Plan (RNDP) – Victoria’s first ever long-term strategy for better regional public transport.

The projects will be delivered by Golden Plains Shire in line with their schedule of works and are expected to be complete by late 2017.
