Bannockburn Anglers Club News

Our second outing of this year was a bay outing on Sunday March 26th with the weigh in at St Leonards.

We had a great turnout of members with some good fish caught and as always lots of talk about the ones that got away!

Many thanks to John and Kay Scanlon for putting on a club BBQ.

Kathy Carmody landed the heaviest snapper weighing in at 470gm, John Scanlon the heaviest whiting at 460gm and Jack Gillies the junior trophy for the heaviest snapper at 520gm. Well done to all these fishers.

Our next outing will be a weekend away at Lake Bullen Merri on April 28th- 30th with club members staying at the Camperdown Fishing Club clubrooms. There will be a weigh in at the clubrooms at midday on Sunday with trophies to be awarded in junior and senior categories for the heaviest trout, salmon and redfin caught. This is always an enjoyable weekend away with club members bringing all their own food and drinks and sharing good times and hopefully good fishing. If you would like to join us please contact us using the details below – we would love to see you.

We are planning to run an open day on Sunday August 27th with guest speakers, casting demonstrations and general fishing information – so put the date in your diaries.

Bannockburn Anglers Club welcomes new members. We have regular outings usually on the 3rd Sunday of each month and fish both freshwater and saltwater.
