Victoria Park Inverleigh

The Committee of Management is pleased that the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning have provided funds from the Public Safety Fund to have the dangerous dead branches removed from the very old pine trees situated close to Victoria Park’s entrance on Park Street.

This has allowed the Committee to lift the Out of Bounds restriction that has been in place since the Department’s arborist advised that these Branches were in danger of falling.

It has also allowed the Committee to offer the dead timber for removal as firewood to those who might want to take advantage of the offer for a small donation to assist with upkeep of the Park.

The Committee is pleased to announce that its application for a grant from Bannockburn and District Connected Communities for the installation of air conditioning has been successful.

It is expected that the air conditioning unit will be installed during the course of the current month. The Committee is confident that installation of this unit will be of benefit to those who use the Clubhouse and congratulates the Bendigo Bank for its support of the Committee.

With the onset of winter use of Victoria Park slows down somewhat. The Park’s regular users continue their monthly use of the Park and later in the month the Tracking Dog Association of Victoria will be making the first of their three visits for the year.
