Bannockburn Golf Club

This month we’ve celebrated Christmas in July, with a lovely roast dinner, with Christmas pudding and custard for dessert – another great meal prepared by the Ladies of the Club, and another way that members can participate in the social aspects of the club without needing to play competitive golf.

With the amazing public access to the course (nearly every day of the year), it’s a great way to get out and have fun with family and/or friends.  There are many versions of the standard game (commonly referred to as Stroke, where you count – funnily enough – the number of strokes it takes for you to get the ball from the tee to the hole) which can make it a fun and entertaining day.  Members of the public are encouraged to come and talk to our members - there is usually someone around most days of the week - to find out more.

And for only $12 each, you can access the whole course for as long as you want it – one hole or 50!

Over the last few months, the Ladies Committee has been hard at work fundraising to enable the purchase of a golf cart, that will be available to members of the club to use at a small hire fee.  They are very pleased to announce that they are almost at their $4000 target, and the cart is in sight.  This cart will enable members facing mobility issues to be able to continue to be active in the sport and the club, which will in turn help them to remain fit and active for longer.  We can’t wait to see it in action on the course, and see our members continue to participate in the game they love.
