Corangamite gets the GEN on aged care

Corangamite families and businesses will benefit from a user-friendly website that provides interactive access to information and data on local aged care services and usage.

Federal Member for Corangamite, Sarah Henderson says the unique GEN site breaks down details of each of the 73 aged care zones across Australia.

“Whether you’re an individual or a family looking for aged care information, or a company looking to develop care services, GEN is a new-generation internet tool.

“It will also benefit students, researchers and local governments, in fact, anyone or any group needing aged care data.”

Ms Henderson said Corangamite residents would appreciate the clear language and easy to understand infographics, which can be customised to individual needs.

The GEN website was created using extensive databases, including ABS and census data, collected from regional and metropolitan centres.

“This is the first time we have a central repository, that will  prove immensely useful for people across Corangamite.”

“If you can’t find the information you need, there is also a simple function to request extra detail.”
