Bannockburn Art Exhibition
Live music, a wonderful supper, appreciative viewers, enthusiastic volunteers, a great exhibition of art work and increased prize money, thanks to our generous sponsors, ensured this milestone was celebrated in style.
Ten years ago a small group of people determined to foster the arts in our local area met and the Bannockburn and District Arts was formed and incorporated. A daunting task for a very small group of volunteers to plan and present the Bannockburn and District Arts exhibition, however with the wonderful support, encouragement and guidance we have received from numerous sources, we have been able to establish this annual exhibition as a major event on the local Arts calendar.
The committee a BADArts would encourage community members of all ages to join in and assist with the further development of the arts - to bring fresh ideas, new skills, to network and make the contribution to the arts more inclusive.
We were delighted to welcome Rosalind Lawson as our guest Judge this year. Winners in each category were:

The BADArts Committee like to think that in some small way their enthusiasm has contributed to the formation of the Golden Plains Arts Trail, now an annual event to be held in April 2011.
Plan to be part of this exciting project as a large number of local artists display their work at various locations around the Golden Plains Shire and share with people their passion and techniques in their chosen field.
Further details in the March Newsletter.
A big Thank You from the Committee to all our artists and sponsors for making our exhibition a great success.
