Golden Plains Soccer Club

The club will be establishing a logo, club colours and a website in the coming weeks. The committee will also be affiliating with Football Federation Victoria, developing model rules, policies and an operational plan.
To introduce children in the area to soccer, clinics at a Grassroots level are currently underway in Bannockburn until the end of term on Thursday afternoons from 3.45pm-5.00pm at Bannockburn Primary School, with children from Inverleigh, Teesdale, Meredith, Lethbridge, Shelford and Batesford participating in a fun, friendly and safe environment. The clinics will recommence in February 2012. It is hoped that these children will form some of the foundation teams of the new club.
The club will be taking player registrations from early February in 2012 with plans to enter teams into the small sided football competition (girls & boys under 7’s, 9’s and 11’s) as part of the Northern Hub in Geelong with the possibility of a junior girls team in the under 13’s seven a side competition. We will also continue to provide soccer activities and small sided games for those who would like their children to participate locally. At this stage, other junior age groups will be dependent on coach and volunteer availability.
